Homemade Valentine Card Ideas: “Romantic Comedy”
Is your Romance a comedy? Let’s make homemade valentine card ideas: “Romantic Comedy” Usually when valentine comes around there are many different
unique cards to pick out for our spouses. This year I came across
the words romantic comedy. That is when I discovered that I
should create a card using those exact words romantic comedy.
It sounds odd?, but I did it… Although this is a easy card to make. Many people still had a lot
of things to say about it. Here are some testimonials…

Think of your romance with your hubby and the comedian times
you’ve both spent together. Now, that is an idea… Lets put it into play and create a homemade valentine card using
this idea, But with your own personal touch. Twist and turn, change and create anything to do with this idea.
Just use it as an example when creating your card.
Homemade Valentine Card Idea #04 “Romantic comedy”
Supplies: - Card stock, Used a black blank card (you can create one
using black construction paper) - 2 Red plain paper & 1 plain white paper
- Decorated valentines paper
- Vellum quote “Romantic Comedy” or customize your own
using decorative fonts on a computer or free hand it. - Adhesive of choice
- White pen
- Hole puncher, (don’t have one use a scissors to make a
slit and cut out an inner hole - Plain & decorated scissors
- Heart stamp & white stamp pad
How to create homemade Valentine card ideas romantic comedy Front:
- Take your plain red paper and using your plain scissors cut it
so it fit’s the front of the card you are using. Then use your
decorative scissors and when cutting the red paper in half,
cut it in a 8 mountain shape. Big, small, big, small. However
you’d like it. Refer to picture above. - Then use your decorative paper of choice and create the same
thing as you did with the red paper, but only thing cut the
decorated paper so it fits within your red paper design.
Creating a 2 tier mount. - Take your hole puncher and punch 8 holes at the end of each
mountain shaped cut on the decorated paper only. - Then glue it together and glue it to the far left of your card
stock. - Using the other half of the plain red paper cut 2 strips with
your decorative scissors, like shown above in photo and glue
them vertically on the right side of your card. - Next use your vellum or customized quote “Romantic Comedy”
and glue it to the top of your card. - Using any heart stamps, take your stamp, stamp it in white
ink and then stamp it on the bottom right of your card. Don’t
have a stamp use your white pen to draw hearts. - Use your white pen and also create a dotted line on the top
and bottom of your card, like shown above in photo.
How to create homemade valentine card ideas romantic comedy Inside:
- Using your other sheet of plain red paper, take your decorative scissors and cut it to fit on the inside of your card stock leaving
a black border and glue it down. - You can decorate the inside with images, stamps or even incorporate some valentine card verses. I decide to cut out
some heart blocks I had on another different type of valentine
paper.
Tip: Be creative and add anything as you wish on the inside of
your card.
How to create homemade valentine card ideas envelope:
- Take your plain white paper and cut out a little box, big
enough for you to write in it and then glue it down. - Again I used decorated valentine paper and cut out blocks with
hearts and glued them to the envelope. - Then use your white pen again and draw a dotted line on the
top and bottom of your envelope.
That's it!, It was easy right?!… You now have a card that looks like a
Romantic Comedy film strip!
