Creative Card Making Ideas
One thing I have always noticed in life, is that creative card making ideas are everywhere. Almost everything you do in a day are card making ideas. You are probably thinking, “How Is That?”… Its easy really…
Step outside of the box and get creative. You can find creative card making ideas around the house, in the garden, at work, outside the window. Perhaps when you have a cup off tea outside on the porch. Fabrics and my favorite magazines. You can even get more ideas at the shopping malls in children books, how about wrapping paper. I bet you thought about it but never attempted to try it. If you did that is great!
My biggest suggestion... Is to always be on the lookout and I am sure you will find some amazing ideas to come up with when you create your next card.
I have always loved to draw as well as my partner Kawehi. It is so funny because I have this tiny little purse stuffed with many things. Yes, I am sure many of you can relate. But I have never gone anywhere without plain white paper and a pen. Your thinking I have that to or No, I don’t go around with that, maybe I should. Well whichever works best for you here is an creative card making idea…
Always carry some kind of plain white paper or perhaps a sketch book, any size that you are comfortable with around to where ever you go. For what?…To sketch all your ideas… Whether if you are waiting for a doctors appointment, or the bus, maybe in the car for the school bell to ring. You can always jolt down creative card making ideas that pops in your mind. I have had many times where I had some wonderful ideas for my cards and by time I get home it totally slipped my mind. And well, it takes me either couple hours or days to remember what ideas I had thought about.
Suggestion: Get a sketch book or a tiny notepad. It will definitely come in handy. I like to call it my secret creative card ideas.
You can even carry some colored pencils or stamped images that you have already stamped but want to color. That is great too. Color and sketch while you wait. Then when you get home you will be ready to put all your creative card making ideas together.
Tip: Use your cameras. Take photos of the outdoors, flowers, any unique design you happen to stroll across. Copy them unto your computer and edit it using any graphic design software. You could even use them to create amazing photo cards.
Another thing I have noticed card crafters have been doing lately are keeping homemade card logs. Keep track of all your homemade cards you created. Write down the times and dates and who you sent them too. You can create an easy log using your computer Microsoft spreadsheet or you can get a card file and file all your recipients in alphabetical order. That way you will always know who your very own creative cards went too.
Tip: Take pictures of them before you send out your card and file them away too.
I hope all these creative card making ideas and tips will help you come up with more amazing ideas and keep track of all your wonderful homemade cards.
