Card Making Books & Reviews

Here is a list of card making books that I've read and checked out from the local library to get new creative card ideas.

Some of these handmade card books I bought because I knew it would be a good resource for me to use and mix and match the ideas together and create something of the ordinary.

Below I've listed my very own reviews of all the different card making books and what I've found useful and unique about each one of these fantastic books that I recommend.

Each of these photographs used to present the card books are linked to amazon.com where you can go ahead and also read what others said or thought about the book. You can also get information on price, authors and other recommendations similar to the book you are interested in.

This is an awesome book for someone who is just beginning or like to create simple cards & paper crafts. In this book you will find easy follow instructions and nice elegant designs. This book also provides patterns for each card design. All you have to do is make photocopies of the pages in the book and you can recreate the card.

I think you will definitely enjoy this book as you can make multiple copies of the templates and you can even get your kids into making simple greeting cards. This is great for teachers and or social events. The supplies are inexpensive and the book is clearly easy to understand.

This is one of my favorite card making books. In this book you'll find many techniques, card ideas that are very simple to make. I like olden day things so this book is great for re-creating some old times.

Some of the unthinkable supplies used, you would not imagine it could create these type of cards. I'll say some of these supplies are inexpensive and you can find things around your house to use and create this special timeless vintage cards.

Great book and I would recommend it to anyone interesting in creating vintage projects. Very easy step by step instructions, along with pictures to guide you through. Awesome author!

This card making book is another one of my favorites. It is full with ideas not only for cards, but for memory boxes, frames and notebooks. Many of the techniques used in here could be used for any of your craft projects.

Each project lists materials needed for each project along with easy to understand instructions and clear pictures to help you along.

This book is good for both beginners and expert card makers. Many of the projects have detailed worked and are very eye catching. If you don't like collage cards or detailed cards, stick to simple card books instead.

This card making book is not really my style. But if you are looking for something simple you'll find that this book has lots of patterns and templates that can be photocopied. Almost every card can be re-made. Not something I'm interested in, because I feel cards should be creative and have a personal touch to it. Just my opinion.

Other than that this book is great for teachers, kids or even group activities. You can photocopy all the patterns and templates and hand them out and everyone can create the card shown in the book. As far as instructions there listed and are easy to read. They don't have any step by step pictures because it is pretty explanatory.

Good for a beginner card makers or cards that you would like massively duplicated fast and easy.

Handmade Greetings for all occasions is a great resource here for the crafter who wants to send something other than the Hallmark standard-issue greeting cards and invitations. It covers all the occasions you would mostly go out to buy a card for. Again not my style. But this is another great card making book to add to the collection.

It has patterns and sizes that can be photocopied to use when creating your cards. Very simple and can be used with kids. Cute and elegant designs for every occasion.
